Rocky Mountain Underground Northshore

If your looking to unleash the inner beast, this is the ski! 115mm under foot and tails as stiff as tree trunks screams deep pow and burly lines. Not a ski for the casual cruiser but if you want to feel like you should be dropping in next on the FWT, this is your ski. I took a pair to New Zealand with me this summer as was blown away. These things have a soul of their own and are itching to pin chutes and stomp burly airs; the North Shore is nothing short of a big mountain weapon.

Tip rocker and a progressive taper makes the front of the ski a dream to drive while the back end keeps you upright and charging in almost any snow condition. Despite it's natural desire to ski hard and fast, when you find the sweet spot in the shovel, you'll be amazed as to how snappy your turns can be.

I skied the North Shore with a Marker Duke for much of the summer and it preformed incredibly. A ski that is right up there or even ahead of popular rivals like the Volkl Shiro or the DPS Wailer 112. Never have I had a ski that has been so dominant coming off big airs and handling cruddy conditions at speed and serious pitch.

After a few months with the Duke I put a set of Fritchi Vipecs on and had myself a super light weight pow weapon. Given the ferocity of the ski, I wouldn't choose the North Shore as my main touring rig, but I was extremely surprised to find how well the ski preformed on bad snow at 50 degrees.

One of my favorite things about the North Shore is how burly the construction is. I hit rocks almost everyday in New Zealand and where my BD Amperage looked like they had seen their final days, the North Shore has a ton left in the tank. A super think base and strong sidewalls make this ski super reliable and worth every penny. I'm so sick of buying big skis that are just too thin and loose they're pop within a season. Its pretty clear that ill be riding the same set of North Shore's for seasons to come.

This was my first set of RMU skis, it didn't take too many days on the North Shore before realizing I'd be buying my next set from these guys.
